About the role
We are recruiting for a fully remote full stack developer to join the digital development team. We are all located in the Wokingham area, and we are working on several exciting projects around the entire Sales, Lettings, planning and financial services business, creating web sites, web portals, dashboards and web based applications for use by both clients and internal staff.
The portals are built using Laravel and we are about to embark on a new multi website project using OctoberCMS. Hosting is on a combination of AWS with Kubernetes and Docker as well as some systems on Digital Ocean.
The web sites, portals and dashboards will be used by tens of thousands of clients and the internal applications will be delivered to a large user base of over 2000, so attention to detail is essential as is the ability to create a solution based on both the users and the business needs in the most efficient way.
We want the final products to be intuitive, “fun to use”, efficient and look modern. We expect developers to deliver high quality solutions that meet best practises, whilst also providing peer code reviews and getting stuck into complex projects.
You will have experience in building complex web sites and web applications for these exciting projects and you will have knowledge in the following skills, in priority order:
AWS / KUBERNETES an advantage
As an absolute must you will need a good eye for, and a strong attention to detail. The ability to work on your own and problem solve independently is essential, as well as working and problem solving as part of the team. You will need to work on joint projects so will need to code to existing standards to make sure the code is generic across the project.
We need someone who is a self-starter, proactive, forward thinking, confident and eager to become a valuable member of the team.
We offer flexibility in working; the role is fully remote with the occasional need to come to the office in Wokingham for meetings. Flexible hours to make up the 40-hour week.
